The Missouri State Teachers Association was made aware of a data security incident experienced by The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems. The leadership of PSRS/PEERS have been proactive to clearly outline the actions taken to investigate the incident, protections against further security issues, and the available support for members that may have been affected. MSTA encourages members to carefully read the information from the PSRS/PEERS and follow all guidance on next steps to enroll in identity detection and resolution of identity theft if they have been affected by the security incident.
