Be Prepared

If you are going to meet with your supervisor concerning an employment matter, prepare as well as you can in advance. Calm your emotions, outline the points of discussion, and gather appropriate documentation to support your points. At the meeting, ask questions, take notes, and request more time or a follow up meeting as needed.
