2026 May Teaching Kids to Think Book Study

In today's world of instant answers, students struggle to solve problems with peers and are more dependent on adults to navigate through life. Join Keri Cottrell for a collaborative book study Teaching Kids to Think: Raising Confident, Independent, and Thoughtful Children in the Age of Instant Gratification written by Dr. Darlene Sweetland and Dr. Ron Stolberg. This book explores the social and emotional challenges facing students and helps educators recognize common "traps" that may unintentionally limit student independence. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of where students' sense of entitlement may stem from and learn practical ways to raise thinkers in an instant world and encourage them to become thoughful, responsible individuals.

Please obtain your own copy of this month's text before the book study begins.
