The Northeast Region of the Missouri State Teachers Association is seeking a
treasurer who will handle region monies and work with the region board. Vacancy is a
paid, part-time position.
Application acceptance until July 2, 2024 at 10pm. Hiring, upon qualifications before July 9, 2024
Treasurer Responsibilities
- Attend all regional and state organization meetings as requested.
- Treasurer’s reports should be attached to minutes and will be presented at meetings.
- Present an updated budget prior to June 30 to be voted on by then current Board of Directors.
- Prepare fiscal financial statement for annual fall members meeting.
- Pay all bills incurred by NE region.
- Obtain cash monies for any prizes or stipends stipulated by the NEMTA Board.
- Present Treasurer’s report at NEMTA Board meetings.
- Submit mileage forms to the NEMTA Board or members where mileage is permitted.
- Secure deposits on event spaces or for caterers at events.
- Pay speaker for Spring Awards Banquet, parliamentarian, and entertainment at the fall meeting.
- Set up ACH accounts whenever possible to ensure direct deposit payments.
- Have all financial records evaluated by MSTA every summer.
- Prepare materials for an Audit Review.
- File/mail all IRS forms by the dates required (990N Postcard by Nov. 1)
- MUST file a 1099 for your earnings as Treasurer
