This 18-hour online course guides educators through a deep dive into John Antonetti's #Powerful Task Design, a practical guide for educators who want to create classroom learning experiences that are more engaging, rigorous, and meaningful.
Participants will collaboratively explore strategies to develop high-yield, rigorous, and engaging classroom tasks. The course emphasizes reflection, application, and collaboration and can be taken for 1 hour of graduate-level professional learning through Lindenwood University. Julie Gass has taught grades Pre-K through 8th grade and worked across urban, suburban, and rural districts over the last two decades. Julie's passion has always been about designing rigorous, engaging tasks -- and building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. From her early days in elementary to teaching middle school social studies and later becoming an Instructional Coach, each role shaped her belief that transformation teaching begins with purposeful design and collaborative leadership. Today, Julie is a proud advocate for teachers as a Member Service Coordinator with MSTA.
