Going Deeper – Commit to more than just likes and follows
- Attend the New Professionals Training Camp in the summer
- Dive into MSTA’s Education Policy page on our website
- Attend a Capitol Visit to learn more about issues during the legislative session and speak to your legislators
- Attend MSTA region events
- Volunteer to be a local CTA leader in your school district
- Apply to be an MSTA Content Creator
- Share unique or positive stories about your school for publication in our School & Community digital magazine (email story ideas to communications@msta.org)
- Facilitate a Beyond the Book Club book study (email professional_learning@msta.org for more information)
- Attend your region’s Open Hearing and Assembly of Delegates with other educators in your part of the state
All-In Engagement – Be a part of something that really makes a difference
- Run for a position to serve as a Region Board of Director
- Attend MSTA’s finance workshop and serve on your local salary committee
- Represent your CTA as a voting delegate at the MSTA State Convention
- Present at Convention or during virtual events offered by the MSTA Professional Learning Department (email professional_learning@msta.org for more information)
- Serve on the Education Policy, Articles Bylaws & Rules (AB&R), or Legislative Impact Committees at MSTA
- Run for an MSTA State Board of Directors board position
- Run for office on the MSTA State Board of Directors
