The Missouri State Teachers Association held its annual Assembly of Delegates and Convention on November 20–21 in Columbia, Missouri.
State President Amy Kelsey (East Buchanan C-1) presided as more than 450 educators gathered to conduct the association’s business.
Delegates considered resolutions on the appropriate use of AI in schools, school safety procedures, and the transfer of teacher tenure. Once adopted, these resolutions guide MSTA’s legislative positions in Jefferson City.
Delegates also elected new officers: Steve Blakley (Rolla 31) as President-Elect and Noelle Horner (Hillsboro R-3) as Vice President. Following the meeting, Kelsey passed the gavel to incoming president Lana Moore (Mt. Vernon R-5).
